Celebration of Learning
A quick reminder to check your child's Iris account to see photos from the past few months that showcase what we have been doing and learning. Use your child's student ID number and 12345678 to login into their accounts.
This past week we have begun exploring where we live and Canada. Over the next few weeks, we will look at each province or territory in Canada and learn how each province or territory is unique. We have also been reading some nice, short stories on Epic Books. If you search Canada, you will find books about Canada at different reading levels that we have looked at over the past week. Additionally, we have been listening to The Canada Song and playing Provinces of Canada quiz game. With lots of hints and clues using the colours on the map we have gotten better at taking fewer turns to identify the different provinces and territories. Secondly, gymnastics has begun and this week students got to participate in different stations. This has been a huge hit and students are having a lot of fun climbing, crawling, jumping, skipping, and balancing.
Lastly, I wanted to share a photo of the community we have built this year. While the conversations may be sparse, the friendships are strong!
