Goodbye January
Well it is hard to believe that January is coming to a close! While we had a bit of a hiccup, I want to express my gratitude to the support and patience as we continue to navigate our way through Covid. I appreciate everyone who logged on for 1 minute or 15 minutes the past week. I can see that students have been reading books through our Epic class and completing different worksheets on the Google Classroom.
This week we continued learning about the five senses, specifically touch and smell. We focused on learning different ways to describe how items or things may feel. We talked and felt things that were bumpy, rough, soft, smooth, prickly, and hard. We have also started learning about the Canadian bills focusing on the $5.00, $10.00, and $20.00 bills. We have been talking about two ways we can identify the different values. Students have noticed that each bill has a different colour and has the value number on the top and bottom of each bill. We are working towards having a chip day where students will order from a menu and exchange money to receive their chip choice. Lastly, we have finished our dance sessions with Mr. Josh from Sound Kreation. During the last two days, we had one of our students lead Mr. Josh and the class through some Bollywood moves.
Next week please log onto the myCBE parent portal to view your child's report card. On Tuesday, February 1, IPPs will be set home. Please review your child's IPP, sign, and return it to the school. If you have any comments, concerns, or goals you would like us to focus on, please reach out to me and we can sit and discuss the IPP.
Looking ahead:
