Week of November 8
For the past two weeks we have been learning about healthy foods versus treats. We have read the book I can eat a rainbow and then organized fruits and vegetables by colours. Two songs that the students really like are Good Foods and Healthy food vs Junk Food. We have also been identifying healthy food versus treats each day with some interactive SMARTboard apps. Today, we also discussed exercises and how it helps us learn better. We have a new action song that was very popular with the students, Fitness fun: Build your body and build your brain.
November 10th we participated in the Remembrance Day ceremony. This was an opportunity for our students to recite a poem and lay a wreath in remembrance of our veterans. The students were very excited to see themselves in the school video. Please find the video below. Should the video not load, please use this EES Remembrance Day ceremony. The video is approximately 10 minutes long.
Finally, we are all very excited to welcome our new student Noor to our class this week. She has already introduced the class to some of her music preferences and we had a dance party Wednesday morning to celebrate her joining our class.
